Online application forms are a critical method of selection that many large organisations use. You cannot simply copy and paste your CV – it is obvious and it doesn’t work. As a rule of thumb, Graduate recruiters will instantly reject you if they detect a cut and paste of your CV. Large organisations are overloaded with applications – they often take easy steps to reduce the number they have to review.
You send us a draft of the completed form – in whichever way works for you – screen shots, pdf, copied and pasted etc. and we undertake the following:
- A broad sense check – your application is reviewed in its entirety to ensure it is consistent in style, answers and messages.
- An ‘answered the question’ check – it sounds simple but many applicants don’t do this and that will get you instantly removed from the process.
You will be provided with the following:
- Suggested improvements on your application, including grammar and spelling.
- A summary of you. When recruiters receive applications they pull together an over-arching summary of the candidate to attach to the application as it is shared across recruiting teams / hiring managers. We will provide a detailed summary of you based on your application. This enables you to reflect on whether this is who you want to project and whether it matches the careers you are applying for.
- All of our comments / feedback are provided in detail with rationale and explanations. This enables you to see yourself in your entirety – these are skills that you will be able to apply to each application form you complete.
This will be provided within 48 hours of submission and contains a follow-up review to any amendments you make following our recommendations.
